What You’ll Do:
- Forklift Operations: Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and move steel materials within the yard and warehouse.
- Load Management: Handle loading and unloading of goods, including oversized and awkward freight, ensuring efficiency and safety.
- Inventory Control: Perform stock management, including accurate receipt, dispatch, and cycle counts to maintain inventory levels.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect materials and products to ensure they meet the company’s high standards.
- Dispatch Operations: Prepare and coordinate goods for dispatch, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Yard Maintenance: Keep the yard and warehouse organised, clean, and compliant with safety standards.
- Forklift Licence: A current LF licence is essential.
- Steel Industry Experience: Prior experience handling steel products or working within a manufacturing/warehouse setting is highly desirable.
- Load Management Skills: Proven experience loading and unloading a variety of freight types, including oversized loads.
- Inventory Management: Familiarity with stock management systems and processes.
- Team Player: Reliable, adaptable, and able to work well within a team to achieve operational goals.
