Technical Sales Engineer– Temporary Works Solutions

$150-177,000 TFR
Purpose:
You will play a pivotal role in building strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored, safe, and cost-effective temporary works solutions. This position combines technical knowledge with sales expertise to drive customer engagement and deliver results. The role requires identifying opportunities, managing pipelines, presenting solutions, and ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.

Purpose:
You will play a pivotal role in building strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored, safe, and cost-effective temporary works solutions. This position combines technical knowledge with sales expertise to drive customer engagement and deliver results. The role requires identifying opportunities, managing pipelines, presenting solutions, and ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities for temporary works solutions by collaborating with internal account managers, engineering consultants, contractors, and responding to market tenders.
- Address customer and internal staff inquiries by offering engineered solutions using company products whenever possible.
- Manage opportunities by meeting with clients, gathering necessary information, and submitting design requests to the internal technical team
- Offer customers the necessary technical information and guidance to support their hiring decisions, while addressing product-related inquiries from both customers and internal staff.
- Continually explore, assess, and action ways to improve and enhance the performance of the company’s range of products and engineering services
- Proactively stay informed and up to date on the latest temporary works engineering methods, products, industry applications, and technologies.
- Deliver temporary works solutions to customers, internal teams, and consultants through meetings and presentations.
- Develop and deliver internal technical training, as well as on-site support like toolbox talks when needed.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the engineering solutions teams, while managing a pipeline of temporary works projects from inquiry to delivery.
- Attend office and site meetings, support customers on-site to ensure safe and effective practices, and comply with company policies and procedures while undertaking additional tasks within your skill set
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field
- Experience or eagerness to grow skills within Sales, preferably within construction or engineering sectors.
- Exposure to construction projects for example: Civil, Structural, Structural Propping, Grounds, Water treatment, Shoring
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present technical concepts in an engaging and understandable way.
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, including customers, consultants, and internal teams.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on providing innovative, value-driven solutions.
- Self-motivated and organized, capable of managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with temporary works solutions, construction methodologies, and industry applications.
