Safety Manager 
5 month contract
Monday to Friday - 40 hour week 
North Plympton S.A - Site Based

We are excited to announce we are now partnered with a global leader in automation and robotics and have a 5 month contract role available for a Safety Manager in North Plympton, S.A.

Certificate III in Health & Safety; higher qualifications are preferred.

Key Responsibilities and Skills
:
  • Have a solid understanding of construction OR Automation processes.
  • Be knowledgeable about local site regulations and laws (e.g., test and tag register, WHS legislation related to fall protection, Australian Work Safe requirements, etc.).
  • Have a basic understanding of electrical installations.
  • Be proficient in MS Office programs and capable of creating weekly reports.
  • Be able to create a Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) document.
  • Be skilled in conducting risk assessments (e.g., mechanical, electrical), in collaboration with field experts.
  • Consult, cooperate, and coordinate with other duty holders (such as Principal Contractor, customers, managers, etc.).
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address safety issues (at least three times per day).
  • Lead daily pre-start meetings with company personnel and subcontractors.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills for training staff and advising on WHS strategies.
  • Be capable of identifying hazards, controlling risks, and implementing health and safety plans in the workplace.
  • Demonstrate high-level documentation skills for recording, investigating, and reporting on safety performance.
  • Exhibit strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Effectively manage injury and compliance investigations.
  • Have experience in WHS, preferably in the construction industry, and experience working with unions or in automation businesses.
  • Display a curious and solutions-focused mindset.
Additional Desired Skills:
  • Have a good understanding of coordinating the integration of new systems and processes on site.
  • Ensure clear and timely communication among project stakeholders, internal resources, suppliers, etc., to facilitate successful project completion.
  • Manage all project-related activities to ensure they are completed within the agreed-upon timeframes.
  • Create, distribute, and maintain documentation to meet requirements and minimize risks (e.g., meeting minutes, action items, project schedules, status reports, open issue lists).
  • Develop, maintain, and track project schedules.
  • Coordinate internal resources for successful project delivery.
  • Facilitate the resolution of all project-related issues.
