The Role:
This role is a brand new role with our client, working on a customer site, responsible for all spare parts and inventory. You will be required to police all stock, ensuring relevant approvals have been received prior to stock / parts being distributed and, work closely with the site teams to plan and schedule parts for upcoming maintenance activities.
This is a hands on role, we expect you to be 40% in front of your desk / computer, 60% on the shop floor, liaising with suppliers, couriers and your colleagues. It will suit someone that enjoys human interaction and works well in a process driven environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in conducting annual stock takes.
• Provide constructive feedback to enhance administrative workflows.
• Deliver timely communication with customers to streamline departmental operations.
• Coordinate customer feedback on daily dispatches.
• Perform order picking and packing duties as necessary.
• Support supervisor in understanding departmental requirements.
• Ensure hands-on product delivery to meet team objectives.
• Coordinate local, interstate, and international shipping, packaging, and documentation for Spare Parts, Warranty, Quality, and Production departments.
• Interface with various departments to resolve customer and sales-related issues.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with external customers and stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers to ensure prompt parts delivery.
• Process and invoice all sales orders for spare parts accurately and efficiently.
Skills, Experience, Qualifications
• Proficient in physical stock handling and movement.
• Strong IT skills, ideally familiarity with SAP or, a similar system would be good.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a small team environment.
• Profound understanding of warehousing and inventory control principles.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Attention to detail and self motivated with a "can do" attitude.
• Adherence to company policies and procedures - act as the guardian of stock, ensure correct process has been undertaken to release parts.
• Aptitude for systems management, documentation control, and workflow optimisation.
• Commitment to maintaining safe work practices.
