An exciting opportunity presents the successful candidate to join our client’s business and spearhead their safety journey as they continue to embark on their growth across the Heavy Equipment Mining sector within WA.
 
Reporting to Director, our client is a leading global provider of major capital equipment, mining and rail solutions and unrivalled digital capabilit. We are seeking a HSE Manager to continue to develop our clients Safety Management system, drive their strong safety performance and ensure best practice and strong leadership across their large workshop.
 
With strong workshop experience, we require the successful candidate to have strong communication and leadership skills, coupled with demonstrated experience in a similar workshop role. This is a Perth based role, East of the River.

  • Salary Range: $120-140,000 + Superannuation (range based on workshop experience)

Typical duties will be:
  • Drive continuous improvement within an established Safety Management System
  • Work closely with the Senior management team to provide effective safety leadership, complying with the HSEQ practices for both the organisation and the major accounts
  • Lead the HSEQ continuous improvement strategy and implement initiatives to effectively address performance trends
  • Undertaking risk assessment, incident investigations, analysis and corrective actions
  • Coach and mentor team members across all safety initiatives and requirements
  • Prepare HSEQ reports, procedures, and management plans, and oversee the development of project-specific HSEQ plans.
  • Complete Monthly Client meetings delivering compliance and activity report

Must haves and Qualifications:
  • Workshop experience – essential
  • Heavy equipment experience - essential
  • Minimum Diploma / Cert IV in HSE
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent written and communication skills with the ability to compile and present reports
  • Flexibility with work hours and willingness to travel if required
  • Comply with mandatory random drug & alcohol testing
