We are excited to announce a new opportunity to join a leading business specializing in engineering infrastructure and systems, supporting in excess of 100+ employees across Australia and, acting as the local WA representative. 

Role Purpose

Be the HR representative on the ground in WA, partnering with business leaders and supporting a mixture of white-collar and blue-collar employees. This role involves delivering comprehensive HR services, including change management, employee relations, talent development, and policy guidance. You will collaborate closely with the regional HR team to implement key HR initiatives and drive operational success.


Tasks and Duties
  • Provide hands-on HR support to the business leaders across multiple sites.
  • Serve as the primary HR contact for WA, supporting over 100+ employees (50/50 white and blue collar).
  • Collaborate with the national HR team to deliver solutions on compensation, workforce planning, and talent development.
  • Meet regularly with managers to provide strategic HR advice on change management, employee retention, and performance development.
  • Advise and guide people leaders on consistent policy application, employee investigations, and dispute resolution.
  • Coach managers to align team goals with business strategy and enhance employee engagement.
  • Partner with operational leaders to execute business-specific HR strategies.
  • Conduct investigations and resolve employee issues as required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to HR systems and processes.
  • Ensure successful implementation of HR projects in alignment with the regional HR strategy.
  • Provide guidance on employee development, creating personalized growth plans.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, WH&S regulations, and enterprise agreements (EBAs).

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Strong generalist HR experience (5+ years), including employee relations and policy interpretation.
  • Proven ability to coach and advise leaders on performance, retention, and workforce strategies.
  • Experience in handling investigations and resolving complex people issues.
  • Sound understanding of Australian employment law, WH&S, and industrial relations.
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively with staff across all levels.
  • Hands-on approach with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Experience working within Manufacturing, Construction, Rail, Engineering, or heavy equipment industries. 

Minimum Requirements
  • Degree qualification in Human Resources, Economics, Business, or an equivalent level of experience. 
  • 5+ years of HR experience with exposure to blue-collar and white-collar environments.
  • Experience interpreting and advising on Australian employment law and enterprise agreements (EBAs).
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems.
  • Ability to travel ad hoc (approximately once every 2-3 months) to sites outside WA.
