2XM Recruit are seeking trade certified Electricians to join our client's team of experienced Locomotive Maintenance Technicians. This is an exciting opportunity to work at a facility based in Port Augusta, SA.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance and repair work on locomotives and associated equipment is completed to the required standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance and repairs on locomotives and associated equipment.
Read and comprehend technical drawings to accurately complete repairs.
Overhaul equipment as required.
Collaborate with team members to solve problems and complete tasks.
Fit and assemble components.
Requirements:
Trade-qualified Electrician Certification III, License or equivalent
Rail production workshop/depot experience (advantageous).
Heavy industrial experience welcome.
Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings.
Forklift Licenced Operator.
Proficient in welding, including MIG, ARC, TIG, copper brazing, and oxy torching (advantageous).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
