Business Analyst/ Systems Engineer Contract Length: 2 months Commencement date: April 2024 2XM Recruit are currently partnered with a company who offer a broad range of consultancy services to help organisations implement technology solutions for better transport outcomes. We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst/ Systems Engineer to join play a pivotal role in coordinating the deployment of our innovative solutions. As a Business Analyst/System Engineer, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions within the transport authority environment. You will leverage your expertise in business analysis and system engineering to understand requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful implementation. Your experience with ticketing systems and knowledge of transport authority operations will be instrumental in driving the success of our projects.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders, including transport authorities and internal teams, to gather and analyze business requirements for technology solutions.
Translate business needs into technical requirements and system designs, ensuring alignment with project objectives and industry standards.
Utilize your experience with ticketing systems to evaluate, select, and integrate appropriate solutions that meet the needs of transport authority operations.
Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and impact analyses to inform decision-making and project planning.
Work closely with development teams to ensure that technical solutions meet functional requirements and quality standards.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide support and guidance to project managers and other team members on technical and functional aspects of the project.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve processes and solutions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Business Analyst/System Engineer, with a focus on delivering solutions for transport authorities or similar organizations.
Strong functional business analyst skills, including requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.
Must have in-depth knowledge of ticketing systems and their integration with other transportation systems and services.
Familiarity with system engineering principles, methodologies, and tools for system design, architecture, and implementation.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex technical and business challenges.
