Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Accessory Fitter to join our client's dynamic team at their Brendale facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing vehicle accessories such as lighting, beacons, radios, and GPS systems. This role demands a solid understanding of automotive electrical systems, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, components, and systems in custom-built vehicles for the rail industry.
Diagnose electrical problems and perform necessary repairs.
Fit a variety of vehicle accessories according to specifications.
Test electrical systems to ensure proper functionality.
Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
Maintain accurate records of work performed.
Support the team with general workshop labouring duties as required.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Accessory Fitter or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams.
Experience fitting a range of vehicle accessories.
High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.
Excellent communication skills.
Non-trade qualified candidates with relevant vehicle electrical systems experience are welcome to apply.
