As part of our 10th anniversary celebrations, we wanted to sit down with some of the original team members of 2XM Recruit to discuss successes over the last decade. We recently had a chat with Regional Director for Western Australia and Victoria, Sam Turner, about his time with the company, as well as finding out a little more about him!
“I would say our first milestone would be opening our Sydney office in 2012, which also coincided with a real drive to diversify our customer base. So over the following years the strategy was to expand into other areas of engineering and industrial recruitment and define core sectors of expertise,” Sam said.
“We opened our Brisbane office in 2016, servicing a large rail project that still continues today! We then opened in Melbourne, with Adelaide to open soon. This year’s events have seen our expansion into SE Asia delayed, as we planned to open in Singapore, but we are still planning for this in the coming years.”
2XM Recruit’s success is centered around its people and processes.
“We have a great relationship with the hugely successful UK business and our parent company TXM Recruit, which operates many offices throughout the UK, an established Dubai office and have just achieved their first footprint in the USA in New York this year,” he said.
“Although we are part of a Global Company, we operate autonomously in Australia and offer our team the highest calibre career paths unavailable to companies with less growth ambition. We have a family feel and are driven by a strong work ethic – work hard, deliver great results whilst always ensuring we have a smile on our faces and have some fun along the way.”
Sam went on to say the opportunities with the company and group at large make 2XM Recruit a great place to work – not to mention the great spot he works from, which overlooks the Swan River in South Perth. With a clear plan of growing the business over the coming years, this allows people within the firm to also grow in their own professional lives.
Outside of the office, Sam has lots of stamps in his passport!
“My claim to fame!? I would have to say circumnavigating around the globe, albeit a few years ago now! A world trip over the year started in the UK, then on to Asia, Australia, New Zealand and then finally across South America. My final flight was Rio back to London! A wonderful experience,” Sam said.
“I look forward to being able to travel again once the world is ready.”
In the meantime, Sam is enjoying celebrating the last decade with the team in Western Australia and planning for new growth in 2021.
