Trades Assistant – Stores & Workshop
Location: Archerfield, Brisbane QLD

About the OpportunityWe’re seeking a hands-on Trades Assistant to join a busy team based in Archerfield. This is a varied, permanent opportunity combining warehouse and stores responsibilities with practical workshop duties.
Once fully trained, the role will be split approximately 50/50 between stores operations and workshop support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of organisation, materials handling and mechanical work.
What’s on Offer?
- $67,354 base salary ($34.09 per hour)
- Full-time, permanent employment
- 5 weeks of annual leave
- Overtime paid at double time from the first 15 minutes
- Annual bonus opportunity of up to 6 weeks’ base salary, based on company and individual KPI performance

Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, receipt, organise and dispatch incoming and outgoing goods
- Maintain stock control and assist with general stores operations
- Use computer systems to manage inventory and process goods
- Operate forklifts and assist with materials handling
Workshop Support:
- Assist tradespeople with general mechanical and workshop tasks
- Operate overhead cranes and assist with materials handling
- Undertake general crane operations and mechanical duties
- Assist with spray painting and other hands-on workshop tasks
- Maintain a safe, organised and efficient working environment
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- A current forklift licence
- Previous overhead crane operating experience
- Dogging experience or relevant certification will be highly regarded
- Good computer skills, ideally with experience using inventory or stock control systems
- Previous experience receiving, handling and dispatching goods
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a practical, hands-on approach
- Spray painting experience will be advantageous
