Rail Pantograph Spray Painter:  

Roster: Monday - Friday - 7:00am-3:45pm (Mon-Thu), 7:00am – 12pm (Fri) ; 38 hours/week
Work Location: 19 Southern Court, Keysborough, VIC 3173 
Rate: $45 - $38 Per Hour (including causal loading) - (Manufacture award C10)

Our valued client is located in Keysborough & is a part of a global rail / engineering manufacturer specialist, who provides components & product retrofit maintenance repair works to multiple key turn clients.
 
About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Spray Painter to join the clients workshop production team in their custom built spray painting work cell.
This role involves preparing, painting, and finishing pantographs used in railway systems to ensure durability, performance, and aesthetic quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare pantographs and associated components for painting (sanding, masking, and priming).
  • Mix and apply paint using spray painting techniques to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations related to spray painting.
  • Inspect painted surfaces for defects and make necessary touch-ups.
  • Maintain and clean spray-painting equipment and workspace.
  • Work closely with other team members to meet production deadlines.
  • Adhere to workshop safety protocols and always wear appropriate PPE.
  • Advantageous if you posses your own Air Flow spray painting mask.

Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a spray painter (preferably in rail, automotive, or industrial sectors).
  • Familiarity with airless spray guns, HVLP (high-volume, low-pressure) spray guns, or electrostatic painting.
  • Knowledge of paint types, coatings, and surface preparation techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Forklift license (desirable but not essential).

Qualifications
  • Relevant spray painting or surface coating certification (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience working in an industrial painting workshop.
