An exciting opportunity exists for experienced Electrical and Mechanical Fitters to join a major passenger rolling stock retrofit project with one of Australia’s leading transport organisations.
Working from a modern, purpose-built rail maintenance facility on the Central Coast, you’ll be involved in upgrading Australia’s newest passenger train fleet while working alongside a highly skilled engineering and maintenance team.

- Monday to Friday | 6:30am – 3:00pm
- Immediate start

Key Responsibilities
- Install and retrofit mechanical and electrical components on passenger rolling stock
- Carry out electrical cabling, mechanical assembly and precision fitting
- Perform testing, commissioning and functional checks
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Complete quality, safety and maintenance documentation
- Work collaboratively with engineers, supervisors and project teams
- Maintain compliance with rail safety and WHS requirements
About YouTo be successful, you will have:
- Australian recognised Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification (Cert III or higher)
- A Grade Electrical Licence (Electrical applicants)
- Experience within rolling stock, heavy vehicles, mining, defence, aviation, mobile plant or similar industries
- Strong fault-finding, assembly and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent safety focus and ability to work independently or within a team
Pre-Employment Requirements Successful applicants will be required to complete:
- Category 3 Rail Medical including Drug & Alcohol Screening
- National Police Check
- Australian Work Rights Verification
- Trade Skills Assessment
- Reference Checks
- RIW Card (if not already held)
