Location: Darwin
Permanent: Full Time Position
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6am – 3:30pm
Pay range: $50-$60 pay bracket – based on experience. 1 year post apprentice should still apply
Site Work: Occasional site work within NT location – 1-2 nights per month with 1.2 uplift

ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters with exposure to pumps to perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of pumps and associated equipment/ components.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diagnose and repair industrial pumps and other equipment as required
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to identify potetial issues and prevent breakdowns
- Disassemble and reassemble heavy equipment components including large water pumps
- Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, pumps and ancillary equipment
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to assess and repair equipment efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to complete complex repairs
REQUIREMENTS:
- Australian recognised trade completion certificate (Mechanical)
- Previous pump experience is highly advantageous
- Good communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good diagnostic skills with teh ability to learn and develop
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work as part of a team
- A strong commitment to safety and quality
- High level of attention to detail
- Positive and proactive attitude
- Be a flexible and professional team member
- High level of self-motivation and commitment
- Current drivers’ licence (minimum)
