Electrical Fitter (Workshop) – Traction Motors | Eagle Farm, QLD
Location: Eagle Farm, Queensland
Pay: Attractive hourly rate, reflective of your skills and experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week
About the Role:
Join a leading rail industry workshop specialising in high-voltage traction motors and rotating electrical machinery. This is a hands-on, workshop-based role—no site travel or fieldwork—ideal for an experienced Electrical Fitter passionate about quality and safety.
What You’ll Do:

Diagnose, strip down, repair, and rebuild traction motors and related subassemblies including stators, rotors, coils, slip rings, and commutators

Perform testing and inspection of rotating electrical equipment such as motors, generators, and transformers to meet quality and safety standards

Interpret technical drawings, job cards, and BOMs to ensure precise repairs and assembly

Maintain clear job records and follow strict workshop safety procedures

Work closely with supervisors and the workshop team to meet turnaround times
What You Bring:

Trade-qualified (Cert III Electrical Fitting or Electrical Machine Repair)

5+ years’ experience working on HV/MV/LV rotating electrical equipment

Strong fault-finding, testing, and diagnostic skills

Solid understanding of workshop safety protocols and electrical standards

A team player with pride in delivering quality work on time
