Job description
- $40 - 50 per hour plus penalties.
- Permanent and casual on-going role opportunities.
- Western Sydney Location
- Monday - Friday, 7.00 - 3.30pm
- Occasional Overtime if desired.
Position Overview:
The Workshop Plant Technician will be responsible for repairing and maintaining equipment such as elevating work platforms, telescopic handlers, skid steers, and forklifts. This role involves working on DC electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and mechanical equipment including engines, motors, and production machines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Workshop repairs and maintenance
- New machine pre delivery preparation and inspection
- Customer satisfaction
- Safety / Quality
- Cross functional support.
- Fault finding, repairs and services on Manitou Center customer and internal machines, including but not limited to: Diesel, LPG and petrol engines, Steering systems, Transmissions– hydrostatic, powershift and manual , Brake systems, Hydraulic valves and cylinders, Electrical starting, charging and accessories.
- Process workshop service/repair documentation on a daily basis
- Present yourself in a professional manner at all times
- Work in a safe manner, use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided and comply with requirements of the current Occupational Safety and Health (OS&H) legislation.
- Relevant Trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a tradesperson post-apprenticeship.
- Forklift License (desirable).
- Current Driver’s License (advantageous).
- Current EWP High-Risk License (advantageous).
- Excellent interpersonal relationship and customer focused.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Warm Personality and open minded.
- Self-motivated
- Good technical background experience in hydraulics and electrics for supporting machinery: e.g.: telescopic handlers, forklift, tractors, earthmoving equipment, etc.-
- Hard worker, practical personality
- Solid analyzing and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical problems
- Good Team spirit, experience working in a small team is an advantage
- Person who wants to participate strongly in the development of a growing business.
