Are you an experienced professional with a background in refurbishing heavy mining equipment and looking to advance into a managerial role? We are seeking a Restoration Manager to join our client's team and lead the workshop operations to new heights of success. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Refurbishment Projects: Oversee all aspects of heavy mining equipment refurbishment, from initial service and repair to major overhauls, ensuring precision and adherence to engineering drawings.
  • Manage Operations: Supervise daily workshop activities, coordinate with various functions, and manage key customer relationships to ensure high satisfaction and alignment with delivery expectations.
  • Champion Safety: Promote a safety-first culture within the workshop by adhering to safety guidelines and ensuring all team members follow best practices.
  • Achieve Performance Goals: Meet P&L budget targets, monitor expenditure, and ensure key performance indicators (SQDC) are achieved.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with engineering, quality, and EHS functions to review and refine operational processes, driving continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Extensive Experience: At least 7 years in repair and remanufacturing operations, with a minimum of 3 years in leadership roles, preferably in heavy mining equipment.
  • Technical Expertise: Trade qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical fields, with advanced knowledge in mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading a team, managing customer relationships, and delivering operational excellence. We are also open to candidates looking to step up from a lead role into a managerial position where their background and knowledge align.
  • Educational Background: Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field. Six Sigma/Quality training is advantageous.
