Relay Assembly Worker
Job description
Roster: Monday - Friday 38 hours/week - 7:00am-3:45pm (Mon-Thu), 7:00am – 12pm (Fri)
- Start of working 3 days per week during the training period due to the availability of the trainer and will then be working 5 days per week once the candidate completes the training and able to work independently.

Rate: (Manufacture award) C10 casual rate $33.96.

- Requires good hand dexterity and eye–hand coordination to assemble/adjust small and critical mechanical parts. Will be good to have soldering skill too.
- The 6R Assembler will produce equipment through electrical and mechanical assembly. This includes basic through-hole soldering; basic use of hand and power tools; and modification of enclosures, wire harnesses and sub-assemblies.
- Read and interpret manufacturing drawings, diagrams, work orders, reports and assembly instructions;
- Ensure control of assembly steps using the assembly drawings provided;
- Prepare product components to be assembled and ensure that all of them have been quality-tested;
- Perform assemblies to the highest quality standards using approved manufacturing procedures;
- Inspect sub-assemblies for workmanship and compliance to documentation;
- Perform quality inspection throughout the assembly process;
- Ensure that work tools are in good condition and that the work area is clean
- Keep work area organised, efficient, and productive;
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations;
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor; and
- Ability to work with other assembly personnel in a cooperative, team manner.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing;
- Experience using hand and power tools to assemble products;
- Hand soldering experience;
- Good hand-eye coordination and excellent manual dexterity;
- Ability to read and interpret part drawings, understand dimensions and tolerances;
- Ability to work with small, detailed objects;
- Ability to work quickly and accurately;
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks without losing focus; and
- Positive team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn.
