You’ll be the Project Services Manager, the backbone of project controls, responsible for guiding and overseeing all aspects of the site-based operations. Your mission? To make sure everything runs smoothly—from keeping the project on budget and schedule to managing contracts, procurement, and a diverse team, seeing the successful completion and project close out. The rolel:
Lead the Charge: Oversee the critical aspects of project performance—including cost control, scheduling, procurement, and materials handling—ensuring the project hits its targets and exceeds expectations.
Drive Success: With your eye for detail, you’ll monitor progress, flagging any issues early on and working quickly with the team to find solutions. You’ll be the go-to person for everything from cost estimations to contract negotiations.
Champion Communication: You’ll ensure a seamless flow of information between the site and head office, maintaining the integrity of the project controls, reporting to the home office, and coordinating with project teams across multiple locations.
Lead and Inspire: Your leadership will be vital. You’ll manage both expat and national team members, creating an atmosphere of collaboration, mutual respect, and excellence. You’ll coach, guide, and motivate them to deliver outstanding results.

The caniddate:
We’re looking for someone with a proven track record of success in project services management or project controls management, who has the experience and expertise to take on a challenging, international project:
10+ Years of Experience: You’ve spent years managing cost control, planning, procurement, contract administration, and scheduling—ideally in the mining & resources sectors.
International Experience: You’ve worked on site-based international projects before, preferably in Africa, and you know how to manage the challenges that come with working in a foreign country. (advantageous)
Strong Education: A degree in Commerce, Business, or Engineering (or something equivalent), paired with your hands-on experience, is the perfect combo.
Deep Knowledge of Project Controls: From cost control systems to scheduling and reporting tools, you know the ins and outs of project controls like the back of your hand.
Leadership and People Skills: You’re not just a technical expert—you’re a leader who can unite diverse teams and inspire them to perform at their best, no matter where they’re from or what challenges they face.
