- $47.00 per hour plus penalties.
- Casual on-going role with view to go perm.
- Monday - Friday, 6.00 – 2.30pm
- North and South East Melbourne locations

- OT available at penalty rates.
The Workshop Mechanic role is responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance services. These tasks include pre-delivery, planned maintenance, repairs and service to both our client's fleet and customer owned equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out vehicle servicing, & inspections
- Troubleshoot forklift problems to include brake, electrical and hydraulic systems, detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues and/or malfunctions
- Field service reporting on completed maintenance jobs
- Ability to diagnose & action mechanical faults
- Undertake mechanical repairs
- Ability to work on LPG, petrol and diesel systems
- Good working knowledge of brake systems and tyre/wheel changes
- Liaising with the Maintenance/Workshop Manager on any issues that need attention regarding safety;
- Sourcing necessary parts required;
- Manage service/maintenance;
- Maintain service records to a high standard;
- Ability to complete breakdowns including offsite/roadside repairs;
- Carry out general duties including administration tasks as required
- Maintaining a safe, organised workshop and work area
- Perform safety inspection on machines prior to being released back to the work floor.
- Current Trade Certificate in Heavy Vehicles, Forklift Mechanic, Plant, Motor Mechanic (Light), Automotive Electrical (or equivalent) essential
- Must hold a current forklift license
- Experience & knowledge of internal combustion engines, hydraulics, pneumatic and electrical systems
- Experience & knowledge of fault diagnostics and software
- Must be a Safety driven individual with thorough knowledge of all WHS policies and procedures, including hazard identification & risk assessment training.
- Ability to document, record and track servicing and maintenance of all vehicles
