Exciting Opportunity for Diesel/Mechanical Fitters – Darra QLD
Are you an experienced Diesel/Mechanical Fitter looking for a fantastic work-life balance? Join our specialised team in Darra QLD, where you’ll enjoy a 4-day work week, excellent pay rates, and a supportive work environment. This is your chance to be part of a dedicated team focused on maintaining and repairing heavy haulage trailers and components, including hydraulics, air systems, and electrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service and repair a variety of customer trailer types
- Perform major overhauls in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications
- Conduct mechanical repairs on braking systems, suspensions, and other components
- Carry out regular service inspections and quality checks
- Execute warranty work on new trailers
- Rebuild suspension components
- Adhere to safety guidelines and promote a culture of safety in the workshop
- Ensure precision and accuracy in all fabrication processes to meet quality standards
- Mechanical Trade Qualification (Heavy Diesel or similar)
- Previous experience in heavy equipment repair and servicing
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Ability to operate various tools safely and efficiently
- Flexible working arrangements with a 4-day work week and regular overtime opportunities
