Business Development Manager
Permanent role
Wetherill Park based and North & South East Sydney 
$70,000 +Super +Commission & Company Car 


Responsible for generating profitable sales and long-term rentals of material handling equipment within the designated geographic territory. Collaborate closely with the Sales Manager, National Sales Manager, and other relevant team members to achieve the branch's set objectives

Position scope:
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to maximize market penetration and ensure profitable growth of the product range. Work closely with the Sales Manager, National Sales Manager, and other team members to achieve branch objectives.
  • Take responsibility for generating profitable sales and long-term rentals within the assigned geographic territory, contributing to the overall business growth.
  • Maintain a professional approach in all dealings with internal and external customers, focusing on establishing new client relationships while nurturing existing ones to enhance ongoing performance.
Responsibilities:
  • Actively build and maintain business relationships with clients through regular communication.
  • Ensure timely follow-up with customers and provide accurate sales information that meets and exceeds their needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams as needed to finalize all aspects of the sale.
  • Submit enquiries, quotes, and demo reports to the Sales Manager on a weekly basis.
  • Provide feedback to the Sales Manager on client development performance.
  • Take corrective actions when necessary to uphold company integrity and procedures.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures to support the achievement of sales targets.
  • Consistently seek opportunities to improve sales processes and performance.
  • Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customer expectations.
  • Present market trend data and sales reports regularly and on time.
  • Complete all reporting requirements promptly and accurately.
  • Input and maintain all relevant information in the company CRM system, including contacts, company details, leads, quotes, and follow-up actions.
Qualification requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in sales and marketing within the mining or construction industries.
  • Strong customer service abilities.
  • Professional presentation and adherence to the company’s uniform policy.
  • Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with people at all levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport.
  • Excellent organizational and planning capabilities.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in relevant software.
  • Keen attention to detail.
