Abrasive Blaster
  • Casual on going with view to go perm.
  • $40 - $42.50 per hour plus penalties. 
  • Gosford Location
  • Monday - Thursday 6am - 2.15pm
  • Early finish on Fridays!
  • Overtime available.
This position has overall responsibility for the sandblasting of conveyor components prior to welding, rubber lagging and paint.

Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Review factory orders and drawings to determine job specifications and requirements.
  • Maintenance of onsite fixed and mobile plant, including the completion of the appropriate paperwork for the maintenance schedule reports, for the equipment that has been repaired/inspected.
  • Work must be carried out by relevant Australian Standards and in line with internal Quality Systems.
  • Forklift driving, overhead crane driving, handling material and equipment and ancillary duties
  • To produce the allocated job within the estimated and designated hours.
  • Will be responsible for the housekeeping and cleanliness of your designated workplace and workshop in general to 5S Standard.
  • Identifying improvements and completing a Non-Conformance Report when required.
  • Meet strict quality requirements for each part and record results in ITR.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Good knowledge of surface preparation and high build industrial paint products
  • Understand the requirements to work safely
  • Be fit for working in this industry
  • Ability to follow process and procedures
  • Use trade specific measuring equipment and instrument
  • Experience in this line of work is desirable but not essential.
  • Forklift license (preferred but not essential)
