I'm currently looking for an experienced Transport Analyst to work with on of the state wide government organisations on one of the largest Infrastructure Program. 

you will be leading the analysis of data to identify network and service performance deficiencies and prepare studies/reports which support the development of the transport system to improve customer experiences
and outcomes.

You must have 
  • Possess and maintain a valid Australian motor vehicle drivers licence and willingness to work outside normal working hours and travel on occasion.
 Key Accountability
  • Lead the analysis of data to identify road safety, transport and traffic management, network management and deficiencies, service performance, and preparation of studies/reports which support the development of the network to improve customer outcomes.
  • Partner with support services in the acquisition of data to support robust evidence-based analysis and decision making.
  • Assess and evaluate the performance of network related project options using appropriate analysis techniques, tools and procedures.
  • Evaluate, monitor and report the success of completed projects and programs against agreed objectives.
  • Manage the engagement of service providers who assist in the collection and analysis of data to ensure business objectives are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within the agreed scope.
  • Contribute to program development by providing high-level analytical services.
  • Lead network performance monitoring and reporting across the region as well as providing information and advice to the Manager for input to media and ministerial inquiries.
To be successful you will need to have : 
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in mathematics, geospatial analysis, engineering, transport modelling, information management or statistics or demonstrated relevant experience in data analysis.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • An understanding of transport modelling with the ability to undertake detailed analysis.
  • Experience using geographical information systems.
