2XM Recruit have ongoing trusted and valued working relationships with Major Mining Engineering Contractors who operate across Construction Projects, Shutdown & Maintenance within the Mining Industry.

Our Project and Shutdown & Maintenance Division is one of the busiest across the WA Australian Mining Industry with consistent ongoing FIFO Rosters and Shutdowns across RIO, FMG, BHP, Citic Pacific, Roy Hill and Newcrest sites.

Our client requires an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to further develop the sales of our client’s Electrical business. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this role requires a candidate with extensive experience and contacts in the electrical sector across WA, NT and QLD.

 

Typical duties will be:

  • Develop new business across Mining, Health, Defence, Building Services and other general industrial sectors.
  • Leverage of existing contacts to drive new sales in line with KPI’s and company’s sales strategy
  • Provide technical solutions and use your strategic ability to proactively cultivate long term relationships
  • Be up to date on market conditions across power generation projects across Australia
  • Develop bespoke tender and quote packages
  • Work in conjunction with designers in both high level engineering consultancy firms and building organisations on behalf of wholesale clients
  • Assist all clients, helping them to achieve their specification requirements
  • Promote internal product preferences / packaged solutions
  • Understand typical product range including industrial LV/MV parts as well as automation products
  • Achieve all individual KPI's and targets
 

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Tertiary electrical engineering qualifications are an essential requirement for this role due to its technical nature (minimum qualification level would be a Diploma)
  • A minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role service in Electrical technical solutions to customers.
  • Candidates will be considered with experience in related industries include; Mechanical fixed plant, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Pumps and Valves, Rotating Equipment and Compressors.
  • You will enjoy working within a team and are able to build rapport and respect with internal and external stakeholders
  • You will describe yourself as methodical, thoughtful, logical, consistent, and calm under pressure
