Sydney Light Rail Vehicle Maintenance Fitter Works.  
 
Company Overview:
Our valued key turn rail client is seeking a heavy industry proven maintenance fitter to work as part of their onsite retrofit project team.
 
Role Tasks & Duties:
 
The role includes but not limited to:
  • Working in a small team of technicians who are responsible for completing light rail vehicle bogie overhauls & traction connector modifications.
 
Daily tasks & duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Dissemble (unceasing), overhauling, reassembly of components.
  • Testing, commissioning & signing off of completed works.
  • Fault finding & trouble shooting as & when required.
 
Required Skills, Experience and Competencies:
  • Formally recognised Australian trade certification or overseas equivalent.
  • 5 year total heavy industry (preferrable rail, aviation, naval or plant equipment) experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Work in a safe manner utilising relevant PPE and safety equipment such as fume extraction systems and ESD precautions.
 
Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test
  • Demonstrate unrestricted full time working rights in Australia.
  • The business is subject to the public health order requirements which are released of changed from time to time
