Senior Signalling Engineer

The position requires a strong candidate to manage the design, installation and testing and commissioning of the Signalling Systems.
  • Review the Contractor's design, installation, T&C submissions for safety case to assist in resolving critical issues;
  • Review the interfacing parties design submission and assist in resolving critical interface design issues.
  • Manage hazard control transfer requests and accept the transfer if proposed controls;
  • Coordinate with other dsciplines on Government Statutory bodies for the design standards for Signalling, including SMA.  
  • Prepare design and test reports to be submitted to SMA/Independent Certifier;
  • Prepare papers on design issues/ problems, analyse and evaluate options to senior management for consideration;
  • Provide engineering support as well as design audit/review to construction management teams.
  • Witness tests carried out by contractors;
  • Review test reports submitted by contractors and prepare reports
  • Assist Signalling Manager to identify and manage project risks, review modification requests and contract administration.
Qualifications - Skills & Training:

  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline ie. electronic, computer, mechatronics or software engineering
  • Possession of Corporate Membership of a recognized professional institution is desirable
  • A minimum of 10 years relevant experience working within a large-scale multi-disciplinary environment in design, installation and testing role;
  • Hands-on experience in Testing & Commissioning in a railway environment and stages of Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) projects
  • 4 years in team leading and/or managerial.
