2XM Recruit are working with a leading manufacturer of locomotives and rolling stock to find an experienced Renewable Energy Manager to join their CBD team.  This is a new position for the company.

You will be responsible for opening the market for TEC’s renewable energy products and services in Australia and leading the Market & Sales team to secure new orders. You will report directly to the Managing Director and engage with clients in the mining, renewable energy, and remote community segments in Australia. You will also have solid experience in client relationship management, market strategy planning, product positioning, and sales/business module development. You will respond to corporate RFPs and supervise formal tender processes, reviewing and negotiating contract terms and modelling financial returns for power projects. You need to have knowledge of energy service delivery and be familiar with the Australian resources sector. You must thrive in an environment of constant change, tight time limits and deadlines.
  Other responsibilities in this role include
? Leading the market entry with efficient sales/business modules.
? Navigating sales strategy, ensure all sales leads are effectively worked from initial lead to closure.
? Monitoring team performance according to the market strategy with renewable energy products.
? Supervise the sales team to create detailed customer plans for assigned accounts that identifiy short, medium and
? long-term sales potential, opportunities, operating structure, contacts, and other relevant information and present
? this data at regular Team Meetings.
? Strategically grow the existing customer & supplier base (EPC, developers, suppliers) to generate deal flow.
? Contributing market insight for micro-grid, multi-energy systems and storage systems.
? Effectively communicates internally to support functions (finance, legal, engineering).
? Conduct/attend seminars, training, trade conferences, or as required.
? Perform other duties as needed.
You’ll Need
? A minimum of 5 years of client-facing service (such as management consulting, engineering consultancy) in an international company with multi-cultural background is preferred.
? Proven field sales experience of at least eight years, emphasising direct selling to customers.
? Awareness of renewable energy, sustainability practices, technology trends and corresponding effects on energy markets and power infrastructure deployment strategies.
? Work experience in the micro-grid, multi-energy and storage system field is preferred,
? Consultative Skills - Ability to collaborate with senior-level decision-makers and share the competitive advantage of their products vs the competition.
? Tactfulness to understand cultural knowledge and sensitivity.
? Ability to travel on demand.
