Rail Fitter Machinist - Workshop Technician:

Company Overview:
Our Valued Rail services client is one of the largest integrated and diversified suppliers of railroad and transit system products and services in Australia.
An opportunity exists for an experienced Fitter Machinist to join their rail infrastructure division workshop team on a full time Mon – Fri basis.   

About The Role:
As a Fitter Machinist, you will be required to perform both Lathe & CNC turning operations to high tolerance. You will be working on manufacturing & retrofitting complex rail track turn outs & other associated equipment.

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
  • Australian Certification III in Engineering discipline Mechanical, Fabrication, Electrical, Electronics Trade or Equivalent.
  • Must have proven (minimum 5 years) heavy industry (rail, mining) Fitter Machinist operating experience.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and apply technical drawings
  • High level communications and interpersonal skills
  • High-level problem-solving skills and the ability to work as part of a dynamic team.
  • Ability and willingness to further your knowledge and skills with additional training.
  • High-level record keeping ability.
  • Knowledge and understanding of rail  desirable
  • Ability to work shifts and overtime as required
  • Overhead Crane, Forklift Ticket or EWP (Preferable)
Additional requirements:
  • Passing a pre-employment medical.
  • Australian fulltime working rights.
