I'm looking for an experienced Project Manager- Infrastructure to work with one of the largest Government Organisation.  The Project Manager will oversee the delivery of infrastructure projects. The role undertakes project assessments and ensures compliance with a range of technical, planning and environmental requirements and guides projects through environmental and other approval processes. The role will also ensure that project outcomes are defined and delivered to meet the needs of customers and Government.

Key Responsibilities: 
  •  Manage the implementation of projects to ensure they are delivered within scope, time, cost, quality and safety.
  • Determine and implement the project schedule and activities throughout the project lifecycle, including initial project scoping and feasibilities, business case and internal funding submissions, project planning and scheduling, procurement, construction, project coordination, stakeholder engagement, project tracking, project reporting, project evaluation and integration with existing business systems.
  • Develop detailed project budget and forecasting reports for the ongoing monitoring of financial resources and expenditure to ensure variances comply with the business budget management processes.
  • Ensure that all phases of projects are completed within specifications as per government and statutory requirements.
  • Facilitate agreement with stakeholders, external providers and consultants to develop a project scope, budgets, timelines and deliverable. 
Negotiate with stakeholders to support the resolution of issues and conflicting interest while maintaining compliance with Governmental, legislative and environmental requirements.

Key knowledge and experience 
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of Commonwealth and NSW planning approval frameworks and demonstrated experience in obtaining and complying with relevant planning approvals for infrastructure projects.

Essential requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management and/or demonstrated equivalent experience in managing programs or multiple interdependent projects.
