Looking for an experienced Project Manager - Configuration Control to design, development and implementation of configuration control and systems engineering processes into the project lifecycle for Greater Sydney (GS) and Regional and Outer Metropolitan (ROM) road projects and the adoption of these processes by the relevant stakeholders.

Key Accountability:
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to design, create and implement master data and
  • configuration control and systems engineering tools, templates, reports and forms required to support the processes.
  • Establish and manage the operation of a Configuration Control Board (CCB) meeting the requirements of the businesses Configuration Management Plan and ISO 100007 or their replacements.
  • Establish configuration control and systems engineering capability in GS and ROM including identifying training needs, delivering training and increasing competency to support the management of these processes by GS and ROM asset management teams.
  • Represent GS and ROM within businesses regard to the implementation of the configuration control and systems engineering processes. 
  • Interface and collaborate with other businesses divisions and delivery partners to provide expert advice on all matters related to the implementation of configuration control and systems engineering including responding to customer inquiries and gateway reviews associated with the project delivery lifecycle.
  • Participate in and contribute to business planning and continuous improvement initiatives including the selection and implementation of appropriate actions to improve the configuration control and systems engineering processes, and the delivery of these processes.
To be successful you will need to have : 
  • Strong understanding of ISO 31000, ISO 55000, ISO 55001, ISO 19650, ISO 10007 and other asset management industry best practice, with extensive knowledge of statutory maintenance obligations, including legislation and AS/NZS requirements.
  • Extensive experience with delivery of asset management services in highly outsourced environments
Essential requirements
  • Demonstrated capability in asset and risk management principles and the ability to apply this to the development of configuration control and systems engineering
  • High level analytical and forensic investigation skills including demonstrated capability in managing and analysing data using database and / or spreadsheet software.
  • High level communication skills including the ability to complete business cases, make presentations and use business applications
  • A four year engineering or appropriate scientific qualification from an Australian university or equivalent overseas qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in pavement/civil engineering Understanding of financial and statutory accounting principles as they relate to asset management and project management.
