About the Role:
 
  • Immediate requirement for a Project Manager to join their team.
  • Projects will typically be Newbuild and major refurbishment projects $20M - $60M 
  • Working alongside and supporting a highly experienced construction manager 
  • With a long history of building some of Australia's largest industrial buildings, Our Client will be around in the decades ahead and will be able to offer the successful project manager a long term career.

Requirements:
 
  • You will have worked on numerous large scale commercial projects (ideally Industrial)  
  • You will have gained extensive Project Engineering/Project Manager experience within a Third/second tier construction company environment.
  • You will have a completed degree and or trade qualified, and hold at 10 years’ experience.
  • Our client is not looking for an individual to work excessive hours, but would rather the successful candidate be someone who is focused and productive during the standard office hours with a time-efficient approach.
  • The person needs to be approachable, able to pick up a phone and discuss and resolve disputes as opposed to relying on e-mails.
  • Nothing quite matches a face to face meeting and building relationships with all stakeholders involved in the project.
 

You will be responsible for:
 
  • Programming, and financially managing the project budget and schedule. 
  • Assessment of Progress claim and variations
  • Preparation of subcontractor packages, scopes, lettings, procurement schedules
  • Review, negotiation and finalisation of subcontracts
  • Management and tracking of project expenditure, inclusive of subcontractor claims
  • Cost Control
  • Financial Forecasting
  • Administration of RFIs to clients, architects and consultants
  • Administration of the project
  • Mentoring Junior staff
