2XM Recruit is part of a global group of companies delivering quality recruitment solutions across four core divisions: Engineering, Rail, Mining and Construction. We are currently seeking a Process Simulation Engineer with Mineral Processing experience to join a well-respected global organisation, who are very well-placed in the Engineering/ Mining Industry. One the world leaders in their space, our Client provides a wide range of solutions across the Mining sector including Process Control, Simulation & Operating Training Systems as well as Electrical Instrumentation.

The Role
The Process Simulation Engineer will be using IDEAS Dynamic Simulation Software to develop and deliver high-fidelity digital solutions such as Operator Training Simulators (OTS), Digital Twins and Soft Sensors. These tools are then used for PLC / DCS logic checkout and P&ID validation and verification.
 
The Person
The successful Candidate will have experience with Process Simulation Software used in the Mineral Processing Industries, as well as the ability to read and interpret P&ID and control logic (FUP’s) 
 
  • 2 years’ experience within the Mineral Processing Industry
  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering – Electrical, Mechatronics, Controls or Electronics
  • Optimization and Automotive Solutions experience
  • Culturally adaptable – Regular communication and engagement with international offices
  • Outstanding problem solving and interpersonal skills
