2XM Recruit currently have a number of positions open for a Mechanical Fitters based in the Northern Suburbs of Adelaide.  You must be trade qualified and experience in automotive, rolling stock, rail, process line, and or Defence / Gov't sectors is an advantage.

You will be working on state of the art / leading edge machinery and equipment. This vacancy is available for an immediate start and will fill quickly on a first in best dressed basis.

  Key Responsibilities include:
  • Assist with planning Mechanical work in our workshop and Assembly Line
  • Improving outcome, quality and delivery performance while ensuring maximum efficiencies are achieved at the lowest possible cost
  • Following safe work practices in line with Health, safety and environmental requirements.
  • Fitting and assembling components
  • Torque Wrenches
  • Welding – MIG, ARC and TIG | Copper Brazing | Oxy Torching - advantageous
The Role:
  • 6 months (Ongoing role)
  • offering 40-hour work weeks
  • Adelaide Based role.
  • Global company experience with ongoing Learning and Development.
  • Hourly rate Super and Penalties
 
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Experience in Mechanical production, operations, or manufacturing is advantageous
  • Cert III in Mechanical Trade or Australian Recognised Mechanical Trade
  • Experience in the railway industry is desirable
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Ability to read, interpret and understand plans, diagrams, drawings and specifications, as well as reports
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and practices
  • Able to perform critical physical demands such as repetitive heavy lifting, pushing/pulling, reaching.
