Location: Granville
Working hours: Monday – Friday
Role: Permanent
Mission of Job:
Coordinate & manage all service and production orders including effective leadership of service personnel and management of administrative tasks in line with internal KPI's and customer expectations whilst maintaining safety, quality, cost & efficiency. Ensure the availability of suitable labour, materials, equipment, and documentation for operators to complete tasks as described in work orders and to acceptable standards.
Responsibilities:
- Champion and drive efficiency & productivity improvement programs and liaise with other departments as required.
- Allocate & coordinate resources to tasks according to package of work provided by planning team and ensure on time completion while maintaining safety, quality & efficiency.
- Supervise works carried out by operators to ensure safety, quality, cost & efficiency of work.
- Responsible for maintaining and implementing safety standards,
- Ensure adequate skills are available via skills gap analysis and where gaps are identified, train staff ensuring the skills matrix is maintained & internal Certificates of Competencies (CoC) are issued.
- Develop & oversee employee KPI's on a regular basis, manage individual performance and motivate the team to achieve business objectives. Conduct capacity planning activities and report variances in capacity requirements, resource usage and productivity outcomes
- Support root cause investigations and supervise the implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
- Liaise with Electronics & Industrial Engineering to resolve issues related to local & overseas processes and or technical factors
- Liaise with Industrial Engineering and Engineering to resolve issues related to process and or technical factors
- Experience directly supervising a large (30 ) multi skilled team preferably gained within a fast-paced engineering environment generating a revenue of at least $5m
- Proven experience in end to end people management (recruitment, motivating, target setting, appraisals, skills gap analysis and correction, absenteeism and overtime management, HSE & performance management) preferably in a unionised workforce.
- Demonstrated experience achieving results in a complex & fast paced service environment.
Qualification in a mechanical discipline, Electronics and Communications Engineering, production engineering, business administration with a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience and Front-Line management training or similar.
