Exciting opportunity for an experienced and innovative Program Manager to join my client, a global Tier 1 rail company as their Locomotive Overhaul Program Manager!

My client is innovative and world class – And you are an experienced and engaging Program Manager looking for a new challenge which will utilise your stakeholder management and analytical skills in this client interfacing and solution driven role.

Based in Cardiff, NSW, you will be an integral member of the Re-Life & Overhaul division - This exciting role will principally focus on overseeing a unique and interesting portfolio of projects not only for my client but also for its many other external tier 1 rail clients and will see you as an integral part of the business, acting as a conduit between various Committees, external and internal Stake holders.

This is a very people centric and solution-based role, and the ideal candidate must have the depth, program lead acumen, and charisma to deal with a multitude of moving parts to ensure and realise the goals and values of the company.

To be considered and be successful in the role, you must already have held a Program Manager role at Senior level and have Australian experience within one of the following industries: Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or Rail, Aviation, Logistics, Mining or Supply Chain industries, all of which would align perfectly to this role.

Experience, Qualifications, and Training needed:

• Bachelor degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent combination of education experience.

• AIPM Certified Project Manager
• Minimum 8-10 years of Project management experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience on capital intensive, highly engineering, long life cycle product line
• 5 years as a program management experience leading Project Managers
• Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
• Outstanding working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes
• Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
• Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software (Basecamp, MS Project etc.) is a strong advantage
• Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
• 5 years original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or rail, aviation, logistics, mining or supply chain industry experience.
• Unrestricted and full work rights in Australia (No sponsorship is available with this role).
