2XM Recruit are currently seeking Qualified diesel mechanics/Fitters to join a team of locomotive maintainers in West Melbourne
 
The Company:
  • Being a national business,
  • Our client is one of the leading independent suppliers and maintainers of rolling stock to the Australian and NZ rail Industry
  • they specialise in the manufacture of rail products and provide maintenance services to national rail operators.
  • They Operate with a large safety focus company wide.
 
The role:
  • provide maintenance to diesel - electric locomotives and associated rail rolling stock.
  • Overhaul and repair of locomotives and rolling stock.
  • Locomotive examinations
  • Routine maintenance and inspections of locomotives and rolling stock
  • Equipment Modification and reconditioning projects.
 
 
The successful candidate:
  • Must be Trade qualified- Diesel Mechanic/ Fitter
  • Must be actively Safety focused and be able to work in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
  • Experience in testing and Fault finding.
  • Medically fit and physically capable of performing the duties.
  • High levels of interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written)
