Inventory Controller / Warehouse Team Leader

2XM Recruit are currently Recruiting for an experienced Inventory Controller / warehouse Team leader to join a team in the Southeast suburbs of Melbourne.
Our client is an Australian company that designs and manufactures high quality electrical engineering products for the rail sector.

Duties Include:
  • Managing warehouse staff, setting work priorities, training employees, directing work to ensure effective departmental operation.
  • All general warehousing duties including purchasing, packaging, distributing, Coordinating stock and inwards goods inspections, and timely delivery of goods.
  • Track inventory levels, work with the supply chain team to ensure that materials/products are always in stock to meet Production/Customer delivery times.
  • Conducting rolling stock takes to ensure effective stock control.
  • Analysis of stock discrepancies to determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs
  • Coordinate sub-contract material requirements, Coordinate return or credit for con conforming supplier material (create DMR’s and liaise with suppliers)

The role
  • Long term, Permanent role
  • Paying $60-65k PA
  • 38-hour work week
  • 12pm finish Every Friday!!

The successful candidate:
  • Proven combined inventory control & warehouse experience at least 3 years
  • Experience with high SKU manufacturing environment (Complex BOMs & assemblies).
  • Be fit with the ability to lift heavy items, stack, wrap and move cartons/pallets
  • Excellent computer literacy skills with warehouse management and inventory control systems experience, intermediate Microsoft Excel skills desirable.
  • Current Forklift license and experience on the walkie stacker is desirable.
  • Excellent verbal, numeric & written skills are mandatory for this role
  • Understanding of WH&S procedures
