Our Valued door systems services client is one of the largest global integrated suppliers of rail safety systems product & services in Australia.

A permanent Day Shift opportunity exists for an established Store Man / Warehouse operative to join their team based in Sydney City, New South Wales.

Role Tasks & Duties:

The role includes but not limited to:

  • Responsible for the logistic arrangement of material & equipment inbound, outbound (diverse picking / packing & put away) of overseas deliveries.
  • Working as a team member in a fast paced commercial scale environment to coordinate the safe & timely local transportation from warehouse to site.
  • Supporting with the setup up of all necessary facilities within the warehouse including Electrical power supply, water supply, Wi-Fi network, work branch, racking etc.
  • Process material handling within the warehouse utilizing Forklift operating (LO / LF & Turret) machinery as & when required.
  • Assist for incoming & outgoing material inspection, damaged parts reparation & diagnostics, maintenance for the warehouse devises & tools.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, participating in stocktakes / rotating stock, stock consolidations & cycle counting.
  • Provide feedback to the Warehouse Supervisor and or Manager regarding issues in the warehouse.
  • Maintain the warehouse to a good house keeping standard.
Required Skills, Experience and Competencies:

  • Hold active NSW LO & LF Forklift / VNA License. (1000 hours of LO / VNA practical experience desirable)
  • Proven minimum of 5 years commercial scale fast paced warehouse storeman / operative experience essential.
  • Full understanding of a commercial scale warehouse procedures & systems (SAP & or MRP system exp preferrable).
  • Excellent communication & customer service skills plus possess ability to work both individually & as part of a team.
  • Needs to ensure OH&S safety procedures & process are always maintained to the highest standards at all times.
It’s essential that the successful applicant must be able to operate to complete all job tasks ask of her / him in an efficient logical timely delivery coordination of materials from the warehouse to site.

Additional Requirements:

  • Passing a pre-employment medical with D&A testing.
  • Proof of fulltime Australian Working Rights.
  • The business is subject to the public health order requirements which are released of changed from time to time.

  • $35 Per Hour.
  • Day shift working hours of (Mon-Fri & weekend works as & when required).
