2XM Recruit currently have an exciting position open for a Electronics Test Technician with Electronics, Electrical and OR small appliance repair experience.
You must be a permanent resident to be considered, Tertiary qualified and be available for a minimum 6 month period, at which point a permanent position may be available for the right person.

 
This vacancy is available for an immediate start and will fill quickly on a first in best dressed basis.

The role will primarily involve conducting tests on completed electronic products to ensure compliance to current test and safety criteria and record and report discovered issues as part of our client’s corrective and preventative action plans.


Together with perform and provide leadership and guidance to other testing staff in the following responsibilities:

  • Providing product test within agreed technical, time and cost constraints.
  • Reporting non-conformances of product, test procedures and equipment via the quality system approved methods.
  • Maintaining product test records via the approved systems.
  • Observing HSE directives and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Supporting colleagues.
  • Following company policy, processes, and procedures.

Skills required to be shortlisted include:

  • Trade Certificate in Electronics OR simialr Diploma Level minimum (essential)
  • Testing of production output and field returns.
  • The quality of product released from the test room.
  • An understanding of the function of the tested electronic circuits in support of effective fault finding.
  • An ability to be able to read electrical schematics.
  • An understanding of the hazards of working with the tested product and test equipment.
  • Good soldering skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • The ability to read and understand the required procedural documents.
  • An ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and managers.
  • An ability to work with others.
