An exciting opportunity exists for an Electronics’ Technician to join our production team at our state-of-the-art Granville premises.  The role of the Electronics’ Technician is to diagnose, repair, overhaul and manufacture electronic, electro-mechanical and electro-pneumatic products with a focus on safety, quality and efficiency.
 
The role includes but not limited to:
  • Conduct component level fault diagnosis on complex electronic assemblies, electro-pneumatic and electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Manufacturer OEM electronic, electro-pneumatic and electro-mechanical assemblies to detailed specifications
  • Identification of faulty electronic components such as digital logic ICs, transistors and Op Amps
  • Prepare detailed fault analysis and provide recommendations
  • Read and understand complex electronic schematic diagrams and component overlays
  • Use of test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Multimeters and LCR meters
  • Use of electronics equipment such as hot air rework stations, temperature-controlled soldering irons, heat plates, thermal tweezers, microscopes, PCB micro Blasters etc.
  • Conduct overhaul procedures to set specifications
  • Use of computer software such as SAP, CADIM, Excel and custom test software
  • Maintain a clean and clear workspace
  • Work in a team environment
Required Skills, Experience and Competencies:
  • Certificate III in Electronics Engineering or similar
  • 10 years electronics industry experience including fault diagnosis down the component level
  • Excellent written communications skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
Desirable Skills, Experience, and Competencies
  • Diploma in Electronics Engineering or similar
  • IPC-7711/21, IPC-A 610 or IPC J-STD-001 certification
  • Experience in electrical or electronic system maintenance and repair
  • Experience using SAP and CADIM
  • Leadership and team management experience
  • Experience producing technical documentation such as fault diagnoses and test procedures
