2XM Recruit currently have a position open for a trade qualified and experienced  Electrical Fitter, ideally having experience in Rail, Rolling Stock or Locomotives. Other fields considered are aircraft, defence or industrial automotive.

An opportunity exists for an ELECTRICAL Locomotive Maintainer to join their team based in Nebo, Queensland. 
This role forms a significant part of our clients service team and the position will be primarily responsible for the maintenance, warranty and ongoing technical support of locomotives.

About the role
•    Maintenance and Technical support 
•    Analysis of locomotive fleet performance and reliability
•    Maintaining, repairing, testing and commissioning of locomotives
•    Carry out fault analysis within the locomotive systems
•    Implement cost effective corrective solutions based on sound failure analysis techniques
•    Identify and source material and parts requirements. Complete all documentation
•    Providing on-call technical support
•    12-hour shift roster - 7 Days off, 7 Days on - Rotating day shift - night shift

Skills and experience
•    Trade Certificate in Electrical and high levels of experience in locomotive maintenance
•    Dual trade is favourable
•    Previous experience on locomotives, freight maintenance or service activities
•    Previous experience within a heavy maintenance environment
•    Strong previous experience and ability to fault find and utilise trouble shooting skills
•    Certified competency as a fork lift operator, overhead crane driver and/or welder would be advantageous but not essential
•    Ability to work unsupervised and be a hands on team player
•    Exceptional customer service skills
•    Proven ability to organise and prioritise tasks, be flexible and resourceful, proactive and professional in manner with a high degree of initiative and strong communication skills
•    Ensure commitment to a safe workplace and promote an excellent team work attitude
