2XM Recruit are a leading National Provider of Recruitment & Labour Hire Services with over 10 years’ experience supplying highly qualified Technical Engineering & Blue-Collar personnel to the Mining, Rail, Engineering & Construction industries across Australia.


We are currently seeking a Data Analyst / Scientist available for an immediate start based east of the river, but close to the City. This position offers the candidate a great opportunity working within the Oil & Gas space initially on a short term assignment up until Christmas.


We expect the second phase of the project to kick off in January, of which pending your success across stage 1 you will position yourself to be considered for stage 2. This is a great opportunity working for a key service provider into a tier 1 customer, on one of WA’s leading gas projects.

 

Skills & Qualifications & Experience

  • PowerBI/Tableu,C/C , R, Python, SLQ, etc
  • Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to extract/manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets and able to present in PowerBI.
  • Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders
  • Experience with distributed data/computing tools: Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Gurobi, MySQL
  • Able to develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
  • Aeroscout experience (desirable)
  • RTLS experience (desirable)
  Ideal Candidate:

  • The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action
  • Experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building, and implementing models, using/creating algorithms, and creating/running simulations.
  • Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modelling, clustering
  • Strong problem-solving skills with emphasis on product development
