- Lead the development of contract variation issues for project, collaborating with all other functions, subcontractors and joint venture as applicable.
- Responsible to lead the project payment claims preparation and submissions including the bonds arrangements, insurances, supporting documents internally and through subcontractors.
- Responsible for development, update and conclusion of contractual claims for ongoing projects
- Provide advice to project teams on the administration of contracts, interpretation of contractual provisions and securing entitlements to variations and extensions of time
- Drafting contractual notices, escalations, responses and claims
- Coordinating external legal and claim consultants, including assessments, shortlisting, selections and work activities.
- Responsible for bonds management for projects including coordinating bonds release through finance, collection/return with Bank, submission to beneficiary and release.
- Participate in and manage agreements on commercial issues for joint venture
- Lead the review and assessment of contractual and commercial risks for project
- Lead preparation and management of consultancy, sub-contract and Project related agreements
- Responsible for ensuring appropriate insurance cover and certificates of currency appropriate to the project
- Conduct reviews of commercial and financial performance of projects with Project Managers in consultation with the commissioning and warranty Managers
- Preparing, reviewing and finalising the Project reports as required for internal and external stakeholders
- Obtaining and maintaining required commercial permissions, licenses, registrations, agreements and access for Project execution
- Carry out reviews of project team compliance with commercial and financial reporting requirements
- Work to develop, streamline and implement effective commercial policies and procedures
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a commercial management role within railway industry
- A degree in Commerce / Law
- Must have legal background
- Knowledge of contract and legal terminology
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Anyone willing to learn Project Commercial Management within the role.
