The role is responsible for delivering and administering the project delivery process for road, bridge or traffic infrastructure and/or maintenance projects to achieve road safety, asset management and network efficiency objectives.You will be expected to work as a project engineer managing between 5-10 projects ranging from $500k- $3m each in value.
The projects will include upgrade of bridges and pavements as well as road resurfacing, utility relocation and tunnel projects.
You will be able to self-deliver in the following areas:
- Design & Construct
- QA, ITP's, SWMS
- Environmental
- OH&S
- Delivery
- Civil engineering degree
- Manage the project delivery process in accordance with the Greater Sydney Road Asset (GSRA) Systems Engineering & Configuration Management Process to ensure the nominated deliverables are reviewed and approved for all projects.
- Assess applications/scopes of work/deliverables for third party works across all projects in accordance with the above nominated process. Liaise with all internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure deliverables are efficiently reviewed.
- Apply the approved management processes required in order for projects to progress through their respective configuration gates, in accordance with the above nominated process.
- Communicate with, and manage stakeholders, both internal and external. Maintain good working relationships to influence and drive agreed outcomes on all projects.
- A four year engineering degree from an Australian university or equivalent overseas qualification
- Demonstrated experience in civil engineering, particularly in pavement engineering
- Well-developed communication skills including the ability to complete business cases, make presentations and use business applications
- Experience in asset management in highly regulated environments.
- An understanding in the use of configuration control and systems engineering including the use of IT enablement
- Proven ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
