Exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to work in a national role for a global tier 1 Rail company!

This is a full time, permanent position based at their facility in Redbank, QLD.

My client is innovative and world class – And you are an experienced analytical solution driven Business Analyst looking for a new challenge which will utilise your planning and problem-solving expertise, ensuring that targeted levels of productivity are achieved.

Reporting directly to the Planning Manager, you will be an integral member of the team - this is a critical role which will principally see you be responsible for reporting on and the analysis of business performance and continually identify opportunities that will improve business processes and resolve issues impacting production.

You will also be tasked to assist in the implementation and successful execution of sound business processes and operating principles through the identification of gaps and visualisation of trends via the development and management of various tools, reports and dashboards.

As this is a national role, you will be required to liaise with multiple facilities, spread across Australia, working across all levels of the organisation, cross functionally and be involved in everything from defining strategy, to the development of process, to taking a leadership role by defining the goals and requirements for programs and projects or supporting continuous improvement and process management.

You must have at least 2 years proven experience working as a Business Analyst either within Rail/Rolling Stock, or Heavy Industry/Machinery/or Components or Oil & Gas or Mining is essential to be successful in this role.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Trade qualification or tertiary training in relevant field is highly desirable
  • Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Business or Project Management is desirable
  • Proven experience in a similar position for 2 years
  • Proven experience with PowerBI or similar BI reporting tools
  • Leadership or management experience, including PM is desirable
  • Proven experience in maintenance, engineering or production-based roles
  • Experience in use of Microsoft Excel for data analysis is essential
  • Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma training is advantageous
  • MRP/ERP and Production or Maintenance systems exposure is highly desired
  • Rail industry experience is advantageous, but proven experience in heavy industry is a must.
  • Have full and restricted work rights in Australia – No Sponsorship is available
