2XM Recruit are currently seeking an experienced Bid Manager to work with an Manufacturing & Services business, that supplies heavy maintenance services into the transport and industrial sectors, based out of Newcastle. 
The Position
In this newly created position, the Bid Manager will have the responsibility to:
  • Develop company presentations that demonstrate the company’s abilities to deliver the required outcomes, as outlined in relevant bid documentation, whilst ensuring the documentation remains visually appealing.
  • Develop and build financial costing models to ensure all relevant bid costs are captured and built into customer proposals, whilst ensuring ultimate profitability on proposals being sent out
  • Manage commercial relationships with customers, including disputes, escalations and any discussions around agreements, whilst ensuring customer relationships remain strong and ways of working within the business are continually improved.
  • Work with the wider commercial team to review new business opportunities and provide feedback on their viability for the business.
  • Help the business resolve customer enquiries and queries, whilst always ensuring strong customer satisfaction.
  • You will be working as part of a close knit team, encouraged to think on your feet and provide feedback to the wider team on continuous improvement ideas / implementation.
Skills Required
  • You will need to have a solid understanding of pricing / financial modelling, ideally working with either ERP or Accounting Systems previously.
  • Previous financial or accounting experience will be highly regarded.
  • You will demonstrate solid communication skills, stakeholder management (internally) and the ability to deal with multiple levels of seniority through the business.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to actively prioritize tasks to meet key business and submission deadlines.
  • Think critically when asking questions to allow the business to respond in the best possible way.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
  • Previous experience in this type of role either in Engineering, Manufacturing, Transport or Infrastructure would be highly regarded!
