About the Opportunity
A leading and rapidly growing Western Australian gold producer is looking for an experienced Senior Mining Engineer to join its underground technical services team.
The operation offers a strong long-term mine life, continued investment in underground development and production, and a well-established site team with a strong reputation for working collaboratively across mining, geology and technical services.

The Role
As Senior Mining Engineer, you will work across both production engineering and mine planning, supporting the safe and efficient delivery of the underground mining plan.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and manage short to medium-term underground mine plans and schedules.
- Provide technical engineering support to underground production teams.
- Undertake stope design, development design and production scheduling.
- Monitor mine performance against plans, budgets and production targets.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, recovery and operational efficiency.
- Provide input into drill and blast design and production activities.
- Complete mine design, sequencing and optimisation work.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and life-of-mine planning activities.
- Work closely with geology, survey, ventilation and operational teams.
- Analyse production data and provide practical recommendations to site leadership.
- Mentor and support junior Mining Engineers.
- Ensure all engineering activities meet statutory, safety and company requirements.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Mining Engineer with a strong understanding of underground hard-rock mining operations and the ability to provide both technical expertise and practical operational support.
Ideally, you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
- Demonstrated underground mining engineering experience.
- Previous experience within underground gold or hard-rock mining.
- Strong mine planning, design and scheduling capability.
- Experience across production engineering, drill and blast and underground development.
- Strong understanding of mine economics, productivity and cost drivers.
- Experience with relevant mine planning software such as Deswik, Surpac, Vulcan or similar.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and operational teams.
- Previous experience mentoring junior engineers will be highly regarded.
