2XM is hiring for a well-established structural steel fabrication/construction company delivering projects across the Perth metropolitan area. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Leading Hand with a background in structural steel, rigging, or fabrication to oversee site installation crews (~ 5 person crews)
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for coordinating daily site activities, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise structural steel installation crews on metro projects.
- Coordinate daily site activities and liaise with project management.
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
- Read and interpret structural drawings.
- Maintain quality workmanship and site documentation.
- Promote a strong safety culture and mentor team members.
About You
- Background of either; Trade qualified Boilermaker, Advanced Rigger, or similar relevant background.
- Previous experience leading site crews within structural steel.
- Strong knowledge of steel erection and installation.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- High commitment to workplace safety.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Current White Card.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Rigging licence
