We’re seeking an experienced Electrician or Electrical Fitter with a current Electrical Contractor Licence and a background in industrial automation to join a Field Service team supporting automated logistics facilities across Greater Sydney.
You’ll be working independently across multiple customer sites, providing preventative maintenance, fault finding and breakdown support on sophisticated automated systems including conveyors, shuttles and robotics.

You’ll work as part of a highly skilled Field Service team providing maintenance and technical support across multiple customer sites throughout Greater Sydney.
The role combines hands-on electrical maintenance with customer-facing service, requiring excellent fault-finding skills, sound technical judgement and the ability to communicate effectively during equipment failures and planned maintenance activities.
You’ll work on a wide variety of automated equipment including:

  • Automated conveyor systems
  • High-speed sorting equipment
  • Shuttle systems
  • Robotic material handling equipment
  • Motors, drives and gearboxes
  • Sensors and safety devices
  • PLC-controlled automation systems

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance across automated material handling systems.
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults to minimise equipment downtime.
  • Respond to breakdowns across multiple customer sites throughout Melbourne and the South East
  • Replace and commission electrical components.
  • Troubleshoot motors, VSDs, sensors, safety circuits and control equipment.
  • Assist with PLC-based fault finding and system diagnostics.
  • Complete maintenance documentation and service reports using the company’s CMMS system.
  • Develop strong working relationships with customers through professional communication and technical support.
  • Maintain compliance with Australian Standards and all internal WHS procedures.
  • Work safely, independently and professionally while representing the company on customer sites.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Current Australian Electrical Contractor Licence.
  • Minimum 3 years’ post-apprenticeship industrial electrical experience.
  • Proven experience maintaining industrial automation or automated materials handling equipment.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience working on conveyors, motors, gearboxes, sensors and industrial control systems.
  • Experience performing preventative and reactive maintenance within industrial environments.
  • Current Australian Driver Licence.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously across multiple customer sites.
  • Ability to pass a functional assessment and drug & alcohol screening.

Highly Regarded

  • PLC fault-finding experience (Siemens preferred).
  • Experience with warehouse automation or fulfilment centre equipment.
  • Experience with robotics or shuttle systems.
  • CMMS experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
